Replaying a test, step by step

The tests cockpit. Each disc is a step; the red flags are the steps that failed.

A test that says "green" teaches nothing. What you want to know is where it broke, and what the step answered that day.

A test as a journey

A test book holds numbered steps. In the picture, each disc is a step, and the envelope slides from one to the next — in the order it actually happened. A failed step turns red, with its detail written beside it.

So you can stop at the place that broke and read what was answered, without opening a log of thousands of lines.

What else gets replayed

The same mechanism replays simulated attacks. Each finding goes in two steps: the probe finds something on a wall, then the defence answers — fixed, risk accepted, or proposed. An attack shown without its answer would suggest the tower is wide open.
